Create An Upsell
Extend the result buyers just purchased with a higher-tier step offered at the moment their intent is highest.
What it adds
Fixes the offer that ends at checkout, leaving the buyer's strongest moment of belief unused and revenue per customer flat. The AI builder studies the core deliverable and post-purchase questions in the source files to design a next step that advances the same outcome further and faster. The outcome is an upsell buyers accept because it continues their journey rather than patching a hole in what they bought.

What your builder is told to do
7The actual instructions, in order.
-
1
Inspect the source files and write down the exact outcome the core offer delivers and where that outcome stops. The upsell lives immediately past that stopping point.
-
2
Choose one extension axis and commit to it — more speed, more depth, more done-for-you, or a longer horizon — rather than bundling several weak additions.
-
3
Apply the completeness test: if a buyer declining the upsell would feel their purchase is incomplete, the addition belongs in the core offer, not behind another payment. Move it back and pick a different extension.
-
4
Separate structural changes from copy changes: structural work is the post-purchase offer step, its payment path, and the delivery change for accepters; copy work is the continuation framing, the price relative to the core, and a decline option worded without guilt.
-
5
Place the offer after payment confirmation so the core purchase can never be jeopardized by the upsell, and keep the accept and decline actions equally reachable.
-
6
Specify responsive behavior: on mobile, the offer occupies one screen with the extension named in the first line and both accept and decline visible without scrolling; on tablet, the extension detail and price sit in two columns above the actions; on desktop, the core purchase summary and the extension appear side by side so the relationship is legible at a glance.
-
7
Define tracking: measure upsell take rate, average order value before and after, refund rate on the core offer, and refund rate on the upsell separately. Rollback rule — remove the upsell if core-offer refunds rise above their pre-change baseline, which indicates the offer is reading as a bait-and-switch.

Edge cases it handles
5The things an agent skips when you only say "build a create an upsell".
- Never make the core deliverable feel incomplete or degraded in order to create room for the upsell.
- Preserve every claim made about the core offer; the upsell page must not restate the core promise in weaker terms.
- Do not use countdowns, one-time-only language, or invented scarcity on the post-purchase step.
- If the source files show no natural extension past the core outcome, report that and recommend a different monetization recipe rather than inventing an add-on.
- Keep the decline path a plain, equally prominent control, never a small link or a confirm-shame prompt.

- The core outcome and its stopping point are documented, and the upsell begins past that point.
- A single extension axis is named, and the completeness test result is recorded.
- The offer appears only after the core payment is confirmed, with accept and decline equally prominent.
- Before and after average order value figures are captured alongside separate refund tracking for core and upsell.
- Mobile, tablet, and desktop layouts for the upsell step are each specified.
- A rollback trigger tied to core-offer refund rate is written down before launch.
- The builder reports which source files it used and lists any unresolved assumption about delivery capacity for accepters.

It maps, then builds
Your agent reads the blueprint first, then builds the offer into your app around the product, audience, and stack.
Works with your stack
These blueprints are written to adapt. They tell the agent to detect your framework, match your existing design system, and use your source files instead of guessing the offer.
Need it tighter than that? Customize the offer file and tell it exactly which source docs and stack to use.
